There are numerous things from films and TV that we all want but that haven't been made into reality yet.

I'll put all the images after the break for you.

5. Sonic Screwdrivers

The ultimate all in one tool. Is there anything one of these doesn't seem to be able to do?

I couldn't find a decent large enough picture but if you don't know what it looks like then you've lived a sheltered life.

4. Space Elevators

I think everybody would like to go up into space if they could. A rocket is a bit expensive and slightly scary though, considering you're essentially riding a huge bomb towards a vacuum. Instead, we should just be able to take the lift.

Much less hassle and you get a nice ride up while enjoying the view. Would be cheaper too. Well, cheaper than a rocket...

3. Time Machines

Whether it's something like this...

... or something more similar to this...

... time travel is something few people could say no to.

There are numerous things in my life that I would think about changing if I could but I'd probably end up leaving things as they were, as you never know if things would end up worse. I'd like to be able to see what would have happened if I changed something, if I knew it wasn't permanent. Could get into trouble messing with time.

2. Portal Guns

Portal Gun

Come on, who else hates having to walk all the way downstairs to get a drink? Open a portal in the kitchen and one in your room and you're sorted!

Having one of these would make everything much more interesting, and fun!

1. Dream Sharing Machines

Anyone who's seen Inception will surely want one of these.

The power to lucid dream at will, the power to create, and to share dreams, would be awesome.

Please, scientists, make all of these things.
